{passion} vive le cinéma

this afternoon i went to a small local movie theater for a rendezvous with the cinema.

i had the entire theater to myself (!) and spent a delightful ninety minutes being whisked away to paris...

it was a marvelous way to add some magical mojo to my percolating paris dream.

(did you know that your innkeeper has a lifelong dream of going to paris? c'est vrai.)

this flick was a perfect recipe of film for me: a soul-seeking artist on a magical fantasy adventure through the world of literature and art.

i smiled throughout the film and loaded up my phone with voice notes and typed lists of inspiration.

an artist date like this is one way that i am fanning the flames of vitality: nurturing a dream.

and i am dreaming of paris...

I'll probably have to wait to see that on DVD since nowhere near here is showing the movie *sad face*. I did enjoy "Vicky, Christina, Barcelona" and I'm curious as to where his Euro trilogy ends up next.

Thanks for the vitality props!

This is definitely the best film I've seen in a while. It was everything I needed. I'm so glad you were able to see it and enjoy it like you did.

While we're talking films--I really loved Beginners with Ewan McGregor. It was really great.

Also, when can we step back in time and head to Paris in the 20's. I'm absolutely ready whenever you are.

Let's GO.

(I need more magic in my life.)

I need to see this movie, stat! I don't get out to the movies anymore, so wait until I can rent it out (I also don't download movies - I'm so old school).
I also have the Paris dream, and am actively working towards making it a reality (spring, 2012!). I thought travel of any kind was never to be in my future, but the opportunity came knocking & I am doing all that I can to grab hold & fly! :)
