{snap} beach rocks

{pebble rainbow - goat rock beach}

hello again.

i have been away from the inn for five months.

this was an unexpected absence.

you have been missed, my dear friends.

i shall be gently easing back into this space.

the photograph above was one of my many meditations this summer.

there has been an enormous amount of innkeeper contemplation happening during this time.

after much thought and with great love, i declare the door to the inn open once again.

{snaps} bridges + fractals

during these early spring months, i have been away from the inn doing some deep inner work.

my days have been filled with gentle yoga, yerba mate, new friendships, ecstatic dancing, mindfulness meditation, stream-of-consciousness writing, adventures, and photography...

{my wonder twin}

{camellia}

{radiant willow}

{peach blossoms}

wonderful shifts and changes are occuring within me as well as all around me.

{snap} plum blossoms

spring is starting to do its thing all over sonoma county.

the foliage frippery which is suddenly emerging everywhere makes me feel positively swoony.

i nearly pulled my car over at least twenty times today to photograph all of the delicate little flowers adorning the trees.

however, i waited until i returned to the hill and used my phone to quickly capture these plum blossoms at dusk...

{off} three minutes

{birds} a comedic view

i laughed out loud when i recently discovered this quote...
i think this is absolutely wonderful, especially considering that some of my most holy moments have involved being shat upon by birds.

if you missed my bird stories the first time around...

i am so very grateful for being able to get a comedic view of my situation. my sense of humor has, without a shred of doubt, saved me.

{release} winter solstice

the winter solstice begins tonight.

in celebration, i offer you the following words...
in contemplation, i offer you the following video...

may you release that which is not invited into twentytwelve.

may you envision that which you wish to create in twentytwelve.

as we welcome the return of the light

may you experience the eternity

of your own truth and being.

bright beautiful solstice wishes sent to you

with so much love from the inn.

{artifact} feather

a red-tailed hawk
dropped this feather
on the hill

i placed it in a jar
in front of apple trees
and golden vineyards

it twirled in the breeze
spinning wildly
a mystical souvenir

wishing you a beautiful autumn monday.

yesterday, i spent the twilight hours out in the garden, admiring the bounty that lives there now and the changes that are happening...

{magic} lunar halo

last night, my best friend and i fell into a heap of laughter on the driveway while telling stories.

simultaneously, we both gasped.

directly above us was a full moon surrounded by a perfect glowing halo...

it was stunning and lovely, this radiant luminescence in the indigo night sky.

stretched out on the asphalt in awestruck wonder, we admired its beauty for a long time...
