weeds + water: the first strawberry

last summer, i grew a little garden in containers on the porch of the treehouse.

this summer, everything changed radically here on the hill.

an enormous garden project evolved over the last few months on the property where we live. our dear friend miles, resident farmer and botanical shaman, worked some serious plant magic. he turned the hill by our house into a cornucopia of growing delights.

i've been documenting the whole story and have much more to share, but for now i give you the first glorious strawberry...

it was bursting with beauty and so very sweet.

i am in love!

more to come in hillside garden adventures...

Doesn't everything from your own garden or something that was grown with love just taste that much better?

How exciting! Looks like a beautiful strawberry to me!

Enjoy.
